    Vanity URL

    A sponsor-specific tracked URL spoken in the host read (e.g., brand.com/podcastname) for attribution.

    The most-used attribution mechanism in podcast sponsorship. The host says 'go to brand.com/showname' on air; the sponsor sees traffic to that URL and attributes it to the podcast. Vanity URLs are imperfect (many listeners don't follow the URL even when they convert) but they're better than nothing. Studios that operationalize them well track per-episode performance, which feeds the CPM ladder.
