    Re-work rate

    The percentage of artifacts that need to be re-edited or re-shipped after first delivery to the next stage in the pipeline.

    20% re-work rate is almost always a process problem (unclear specs at handoff), not a craft problem. The fix is sharpening the asset SLA: what exactly is expected, in what format, to what quality bar. Re-work is the cheapest thing to measure and the most actionable improvement in any ops operation.
